Days Gone By - stories from the past

MONDAY MUSINGS: This is so funny – even copying a document was confusing in the past

Technology has really changed our society. Even copy machines are becoming outdated today but this anecdote is still very humorous

“Several years ago we had an intern who was none too swift. One day he was typing and turned to a secretary and said, “I’m almost out of typing paper. What do I do?”

“Just use copier machine paper,” she told him.
With that, the intern took his last remaining blank piece of paper, put it on the photocopier and proceeded to make five blank copies.”

My husband actually witnessed a similar incident in his office several decades ago. It was a temp who needed more paper. Someone told her to go get some out of the copy machine, so she proceeded to photocopy a few pieces. I suspect she just didn’t know how to open the machine and was too timid to ask anyone.
