Genealogy Information

Make your genealogy query post stand out!

Don’t just post your query and have it get lost with a long list of others. Make your genealogy queries stand out!

On Alabama Pioneers you will have your own designated page with your individual query post to Share with others. Your query surname will more easily be found by Alabama Pioneers search engine when someone searches your surname on the website as well asGoogle’s search engine if the word alabamapioneers is added. Try searching the query surname Cowan to see how it works.

Once your query is posted on the AP website, it will be posted on the website and AP Facebook as well as personally emailed to over 10,000 Alabama Pioneers newsletter readers in the next newsletter.

But don’t stop there.  Once you have your designated page on Alabama Pioneers, share it with everyone you know by clicking on the Facebook, Twitter and Email button on your query page and encourage them to Share your post with others. You never know who might have an answer to your query such as a neighbor, friend or  even an acquaintance. The more eyes on a query, and the better chance you will find your answer.

The  current cost to post a query is  only $5.00

The Rules below must be followed explicitly to have your query posted in the newsletter and on Alabama Pioneers:

  • Email your query to [email protected] with the subject line Paid Query and email address you will use to make a payment.
  • You will receive an invoice for payment from Alabama Pioneers. Once the $5 payment is made (online only), a confirmation notice will be sent by email with the date of posting for the newsletter and on the website.
  • The query must not be any larger than 100 words or 400 characters, whichever is lower and written exactly as you want it posted. (Short queries are read more than long lengthy queries.  Try to use only one surname per query post. It helps search engines find it rather than trying to determine who the query is about.
  • (You are responsible for correct spelling, etc.)  Be sure to include an email address for responses to your query. Messages will not be relayed by Alabama Pioneers

If you have success in your query post, please send me a quick email at [email protected] to let me know.

Just to say I did find info on the John Moore who died 1893 in Lawrence County, AL.  Sadly its not my ancestor but I now know about him.  AND, I also found info on Richard Moore so both of those queries can be discontinued.  Still looking for info on James Matheson Moore.  Thank you for your help.  The service you provide is appreciated.  Sue Mullane

FOUND! I was able to find my father’s only living sister and her daughter. They have welcomed me with open arms and I will meet them next month!!! Thank you for all your help! God bless all of you!!!” Lizbeth Lynn Hall Wren
