Recipe Wednesday: Three Soup Chicken from the past

THREE-SOUP CHICKEN


  • 1/1/2 sticks margarine
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 1/4  cup of rice (uncooked)
  • 1 small can mushroom pieces, drained
  • 1/2 can water
  • 8 chicken breasts or a fryer cut up

Melt margarine; add three soups (undiluted); stir in rice, mushrooms, and water. Pour into 8 1/2 by 13-inch pan. Salt chicken and place over rice mixture. Bake at 275 degrees for 1/ 1/2 hours; then turn chicken and continue cooking for one hour. (Serves 8)
