  1. Donna,
I think perhaps we have a family connection somewhere in the past.

I was born & raised in Hogansville, Troup Co, GA. Now I live in Boise, Idaho.
My maternal grandparents were Arthur Clyde Johnson & Ida or Ara or Ira Belle “Bell” Gibson. They were from around Dadeville or New Life, Tallapoosa Co, AL.

His parents were John Wesley Johnson m. Lenora Alabama “Nora” Dean, of the same area.
Her parents were Erastus Josephus “Joe” Dean & Martha Ann “Molly” West.
His parents were Samuel L Dean, born abt 1828 in Upson Co, GA & Amanda Parathessro Taunton. He was a POW during the Civil War, captured at Morristown, TN. He was the oldest of 13 children in this family. They moved to Tallapoosa Co from GA around 1840 or earlier. His father was William F Dean & Louisa Celey Fincher, who were married in Upson Co, GA 3 July 1827. They were both from Edgefield District, SC.

Other family names are: Abney, Craig, Dean/Deen/Deane, Duke, Duncan/Dunkin, Fincher (earliest was Francis Fincher who came to PA from England after having been in prison several times for religious reasons – i.e., praying in public. He was a Quaker).
Gibson/Gipson, Jackson, Johnson, Larkin, McClellan, McClendon, Moore, Musick, Skinner, Strong, Tillman, Thornton, Ussery, Veazey, West, Wheller, Wray, -these are mostly maternal-related family names.
Paternal families: Lowry/Lowery, Brand, Bates, Bevins, Campbell,Coates, Gruber/Groover (this family came from Germany) Adamson (from Glenn, Heard Co, GA), Albritton/Albritten and others.
