I wish more of these types of history correspondence were included in our children’s schools (or at least offered) in order that they might be appreciative of what the early American pioneers, etc., went through. I realize that there is a different mindset out there now, but these were the ancestors of many of our children, and they need to know about such hardships. Just my thoughts…

    3. Can you do it? I think the Texas Shackelford’s will be happy to understand their Alabama roots. Dismantled my computer in anticipation of moving. Nice to share our Shackelford history!
