My husband, Clarence, was born in the Dancy Polk Home May 21, 1937.
I wrote a fictional book called J.D. Cofield U.S. Marshal. It starts out in Decatur AL just after the civil war and follows JD Cofield out west. He eventually returns home to Decatur.
