RECIPE WEDNESDAY: Apple custard and New England pancakes -1868 recipes

APPLE CUSTARD – Take apples, pared, cored and slightly stewed, sufficient to cover the dish, six eggs, and one quart of milk; spice to your taste. Bake it for twenty minutes.

NEW ENGLAND PANCAKES – Mix a pint of cream, five spoonfuls of fine flour, seven yolks, and four whites of eggs, and very little salt. Fry them very thin in fresh butter, and between each strew sugar and cinnamon.
