AUTHOR SUNDAY – We are the storytellers – We are the chosen

It goes to pride in what our ancestors were able to accomplish. How they contributed to what we are today. It goes to respecting their hardships and losses, their never giving in or giving up, their resoluteness to go on and build a life for their family.

This was a great way to express how I feel about doing my genealogy. Even after 40 years, there’s always something else to find, another story to read, another cemetery to explore. Really enjoy helping others fill in the blanks in their family’s tree, too.

I feel like this. It is so important to remember our ancestors
:)….
Our grandpas led the way.
This is how I feel. Very touching to know your forebears.
We are the storytellers. We ask questions of older family members, search out dates, cemeteries, histories to put flesh on the names. We peer into the past to bring the ancestors to life for our descendants. Each person had his or her own story and it’s up to us to keep them alive in our memories and past the torch to the future. We are, indeed, the storytellers….
Love this!

This is so you Amy!
