Descendants of John Green, born 1768, settled in Alabama

John Green was born Jan 17, 1768, in South Carolina, son of Benjamin Green. The Greens ran a tavern in Chester Co, PA. They were an English Quaker family who immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1686. By the 1760’s and early 1770’s, they moved to Long Cane Creek in Granville, South Carolina.

    Luverne, AL is my home since 1940 but left there at early age for TX.
    My family names are Gardner and Skipper. Is there any information on these names available during 1800’s and 1900’s?
