  1. Big. Gen. A. T. Hawthorn (Alexander Travis Hawthorne) was my 3x great-uncle. Born near Belleville, Conecuh County, Alabama to Rev. Kedar Hawthorn and Martha (Baggett) Hawthorn. After the war, he moved to Brazil for almost a decade. He moved back and had some business ventures in Atlanta and Baltimore before moving to Austin and became a Baptist preacher. Buried in Marshall, Texas.
